I was happy with this painting until I reached the foreground with the bushes and path. I don't have a lot of success with knife when making these paths. I'm wondering if it would be easier to lay a base of van dyke brown down and then use a fan brush to add highlights to the path?
I also think I made some mud when it comes to the bushes in the foreground.
Oh well, no mistakes, just happy accidents.
Your comment on another way of doing the path is spot on, to avoid the mud that Bob creates keep the base color on like a stain; check out Kevin Hill’s process it’ll make more sense and the outcome is so much better and easier to highlight.
Thank you both! I will look into Kevin Hill's process as I would like to improve the way I do my paths.

Looks really good! The mountain and sky are super! Trees and water are good as well! The path is ok and the bushes are good! Overall a really good job!
