I've been painting with acrylic for years and this was my first oil, wet on wet, Ross tutorial. I can easily see myself accidentally becoming a mud painter! After watching Ross since childhood, this is one of the most enjoyable paintings I've done in a long time.
For this specific painting, it took me about 90 minutes and I was confused about the placement of the second layer of dark, below the trees. I should have made it a lot lower. I'm also not a fan of the dead limbs in the foreground, but they don't look terrible. I had a really hard time using the liner brush, but hopefully that skill will come with time.

This is great, I love the water, and the dead trees are quite effective, especially considering you said that you struggled with the liner brush. If I may offer something I discovered about using the liner brush, I'd say it takes a ton of medium (either some sort of oil, or paint thinner), a lot more than I thought at first. When thinning down the paint with the liner brush, I'll go back and forth like 5-6 times between the palette and the thinner. Only other thing to add would be how one holds the liner brush, but it's hard to describe via text. There's a video where Kevin Hill has his wife do her first painting on camera, that one really helped me to develop the technique with the liner brush. I personally have better luck with branches using thinner rather than oil, but it can be done, Kevin clearly has no problem with it! :D cheers
