Evening at the Falls

A painting with very limited palette, main colors are black and (prussian) blue and white on a black gesso basic layer covered with the same colors which makes the painting very dark. Green and yellow are only used for tree highlights. Special was the painting of the waterfall with the knife only in two layers; a darker color as basic and pure white as highlight. It was a good exercise in painting trees also, on canvasboard 24 x 30 cm.
