Evening Seascape

joha59 13 Sep 2022

This is my third attempt for this incredible scene; the first one is under the black gesso layer, the second attempt I did not upload. In this version I used more VDBrown in stead of Bob's mixture of AC and PtGreen for black, this mix is transparant and not always good visible, I think the brown worked better, special for the rocks and stones in the foreground. On canvasboard 24 x 30 cm.

Very nice Jos!

Awesome freedom in your brushwork! I like you extended far away hill into mountains it added some depth! Water on the beach is awesome!

Thank you Brian and Sunnylady!

Super seascape! I agree about the VD brown here. I know what you mean about the transparent vs. opaque. Sometimes I mix them to try for the best of both.

Thank you Pam!
