So I'm happy with how the sky and clouds turned out with this one. I still need to work on my pine trees. The close ones are decent, but I need work on my far away ones. I would have liked the colors to come out brighter but I don't think it would have looked as realistic. Overall, I'm satisfied with it. Only 3 more to go to finish season 1 now! :)

Thank you! Yeah that's a good point. Like he says, they shouldn't even have that much detail being "far away" because we don't see those details far away with our eyes. I try not to "piddle it to death" like he mentions and I literally have to tell myself to "STOP" so I don't ruin it. I also need to stop comparing mine to his because like he also says the object is to not "copy" but to learn the technique and develop your own style.

I still have to avoid the temptation to detail everything to death but honestly if you were to make the further ones just as detailed as the front it doesn’t look “far away”. You are right it wouldn’t look realistic. You can always add a touch of highlight color but you’d have to make sure to add that much more highlight and detail to the ones closer. I think they look just fine :) keep going! Almost done with a whole season congrats!
