The contact paper left some stickiness on the black canvas when I pulled it off. So I used Bob’s woodgrain painting technique to make a faux wood frame.

Very nice. And I think the wood effect was both well done and very fitting here.
Love the wood grain effect, it really fills the space well and looks very realistic too.
