I had to break this up into 2 sittings a few weeks apart. I ran out of time the first time I sat down to paint. But it had been waaay too long since I painted. I also tried out some new brushes and a knife. I didn't get my normal bend, so I feel like the trees aren't as good as normal. And when I came back to it a few weeks later, I had trouble getting some of the new paint to stick, even after wetting it with linseed oil. But, over all I am pleased that I got some practice in. After a move to a different state and a new job, I'm ready to get back into a routine of doing things I love.

Congratulations on the new job! I know what you mean about getting back into a routine. I am currently working out of town and unable to paint but am trying to cram painting into the weekends. I like how your riverbanks look in this one.
