I use oil paint soluble in water, maybe that paint is not as thick as Bob Ross's. It is difficult to paint bushes and trees. All tips more than welcome.

You may not be delighted with them but I think your highlights look pretty decent so well done.
I don’t know about water soluable oils so this may be duff info but… ‘thin paint sticks to thick paint’ (Bob) or Kevin Hill lays blue shop towels carefully over his paintings to absorb the excess, then applies the highlights. Check out his Willow Tree tutorial on YouTube to see what I mean.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on your medium can give you more advice.
