I hope nothing happens to prevent this event from happening because it will be located in the same house and studio that The Joy of Painting was filmed from 1984 to 1988. There will be some of the actual Bob Ross paintings on display when it opens, which will be very cool to see. The Joy of painting is also being enshrined in the Indian Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2020.
An update. The tickets for the Bob Ross Experience will be on sale on Sept 7. TheIt opens on Bob's 78th birthday on Oct 29. From what I can tell from the Minnetrista website they have an easel used on the joy of painting along with brushes, a palette, and even some tubes of oil paint left over, namely pthalo blue. I was able to identify several of the paintings that will probably be on display including Windy Waves, Evening's Peace, Deep Forest Falls, Winter Mist, Valley Waterfall, and Enchanted Falls Oval. Interestingly there are some untitled works donated by Bob's widow that hung in his home in Orlando that a strikingly similar to ones from the show. There are also large teaching canvas that have techniques for water, clouds, and trees.
